Terms of Attendance

IN CONSIDERATION of the opportunity to attend the event, and by submitting your registration, you acknowledge that you have read and agreed to these attendee terms and conditions (the “Agreement”) applicable to the event (the “Event”) operated and run by the Event Organizer.

For the purposes of this Agreement, "the Event Organizer" refers to the entity identified on the Event's official website, registration materials, or related documentation which references this Agreement as responsible for organizing the Event.

If you are completing the registration on behalf of another individual, you warrant that you have made the attendee or participant aware of this Agreement and that he/she/they has/have accepted this Agreement.

General Terms

  1. All costs associated with your attendance (including but not limited to travel, accommodation, meals, and related expenses) shall be borne solely by you, and the Event Organizer shall have no liability for such costs.

  2. By attending the Event, you grant the Event Organizer the irrevocable right to record, film, photograph, or otherwise capture your likeness, image, voice, or participation in any media, and to distribute, broadcast, reproduce, use, or otherwise disseminate such media, in perpetuity, worldwide, without any further approval from or any payment to you.

  3. You acknowledge and agree that the Event Organizer may, in its sole discretion and at any time, change any and all aspects of the Event, including but not limited to the Event name, themes, content, program, speakers, moderators, venue, format, and time.

  4. At the time of check-in, you must provide a valid form of government-issued photo identification.

  5. Attendee badges must be worn at all times while in Event areas.

  6. It is solely your responsibility to comply with any government visa or entry requirements, and failure to do so does not constitute a basis for a refund. The Event Organiser shall have no liability with respect to any failure on your part to comply with such requirements.

Attendee Conduct

  1. You agree to treat Event staff, speakers, sponsors, attendees, visitors, and service providers with fairness, integrity, dignity, and respect.

  2. You agree to respect the values, beliefs, cultures, and religions of such persons.

  3. You agree to comply with all reasonable instructions given by Event Organizer personnel while attending or participating in the Event.

  4. No form of harassment, victimization, bullying, discrimination, or threatening, malicious, abusive, or otherwise objectionable language or conduct (as determined in the sole discretion of the Event Organizer) will be tolerated.

  5. The Event Organizer reserves the right to deny admission to, or remove from the Event, any individual who violates these standards, without refund.

Restricted Activities

  1. By registering, you agree not to share, transfer, sell, trade, or otherwise misuse your badge. If you violate this policy, the Event Organizer may cancel your attendance and retain any payments made.

  2. To the extent permitted by applicable law, firearms or other weapons are not permitted at the Event.

  3. No minors under the age of eighteen (18) may attend the Event unless expressly authorized in advance by the Event Organizer. Certain venues may prohibit minors entirely.

Fees

  1. All applicable fees are due upon registration (the “Fees”). If payment is insufficient or declined for any reason, the Event Organizer may refuse admission and shall have no resulting liability.

  2. Fees may be subject to applicable sales tax, value added tax, or other taxes or duties, which shall be charged in addition to the Fees.

  3. Once registration is completed, Fees will not be adjusted downward for any reason, including sponsorship, discount, or promotional pricing.

  4. If you provide credit card information, you authorize the Event Organizer to charge such card for the Fees.

Cancellation, Substitution, and Lost Badge Policy

  1. The Event Organizer does not provide refunds of any Fees relating to attendance at the Event.

  2. There will be no carryover of registrations or Fees to future events hosted by the Event Organizer or its affiliates.

  3. Paid attendees who later join the Event as speakers are not entitled to a refund of attendee Fees.

  4. Once a badge has been issued on site, it cannot be changed, substituted, or reissued to another person.

  5. Registered attendees may not convert paid passes to complimentary sponsor passes.

  6. Substitutions or ticket transfers are permitted only through the Event Organizers designated platform and with prior approval.

Data Protection

  1. By registering, you acknowledge that the Event Organizer may process personal data provided during registration, including but not limited to your name, job title, company name, business telephone number, and business email address (the “Personal Data”), in accordance with the Event Organizer’s privacy policy.

Compliance

  1. By registering, you represent and warrant that you are not subject to sanctions, restrictions, or prohibitions imposed by the United States, United Kingdom, European Union, or the country in which the Event takes place.

  2. If the Event Organizer becomes aware or reasonably suspects that your participation may violate applicable sanctions or restrictions, it reserves the right, in its sole discretion and without liability, to refuse registration, deny entry, or require you to leave the Event immediately.

Security Inspections

  1. The Event Organizer and/or the venue may conduct security inspections or searches.

  2. If you refuse a security inspection or fail to comply with venue rules, you may be denied entry or required to leave without refund.

Intellectual Property

  1. All intellectual property rights in or arising out of the Event, including but not limited to Event content, logos, trademarks, recordings, photographs, videos, promotional materials, and distributed content, are owned exclusively by the Event Organizer or, where applicable, Event sponsors or speakers.

  2. You may not use, reproduce, distribute, or permit use of any Event intellectual property without the prior written consent of the Event Organizer.

  3. Nothing in this Agreement grants you any license or rights to the Event Organizer’s intellectual property.

Disclaimer of Warranties; Limitation of Liability

  1. The Event is provided on an “as-is” basis. The Event Organizer makes no warranties of any kind, express or implied, including warranties of accuracy, fitness for a particular purpose, merchantability, or non-infringement.

  2. The Event Organizer accepts no responsibility for reliance on any information presented at the Event.

  3. To the fullest extent permitted by law, the Event Organizer shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, consequential, special, or punitive damages arising from or related to the Event or this Agreement.

  4. The maximum aggregate liability of the Event Organizer shall be limited to the amount of Fees paid by you to attend the Event.

  5. Your sole remedy for dissatisfaction with the Event is nonattendance or discontinuation.

Miscellaneous

  1. Failure by the Event Organizer to enforce any provision shall not constitute a waiver.

  2. The Event Organizer shall not be liable for failure to perform due to causes beyond its reasonable control.

  3. If any provision is deemed unenforceable, it shall be modified to the minimum extent necessary to remain enforceable.

  4. This Agreement is governed by the laws of the State of Oregon, and any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of state or federal courts located in Oregon.

  5. The prevailing party in any action under this Agreement is entitled to recover reasonable attorneys’ fees and costs.

  6. This Agreement constitutes the entire agreement between the parties and supersedes all prior agreements or understandings.

  7. The Event Organizer reserves the right to amend this Agreement at any time by posting an updated version on its website. Continued registration or attendance constitutes acceptance of any such amendments.

  8. The Event Organizer reserves the right to deny admission for failure to comply with this Agreement.
