Aileen Ottenweller is the Global Head of Brand and Business Impact at Patagonia. She leads the company’s brand and marketing strategy efforts, managing the teams and programs that bring Patagonia’s purpose to life and drive communities to action - through environmental activism, connection to nature through sport, and responsible shopping practices. Aileen is passionate about driving environmental and societal change and finding ways to turn consumers back into conscious citizens and activists.

Prior to Patagonia, she worked for various mission-focused technology companies and non-profits such as Tesla, SolarCity and the Initiative for Global Development. She grew up in the middle of the United States, and thanks her Midwest roots for keeping her grounded and for fostering her deep love and appreciation for the natural world. When she isn’t working, you are likely to find her outside cycling, swimming, backcountry skiing, or trail running.
