Frequently asked questions.

  • Volunteering at SFF26 offers complimentary access to the conference outside of assigned shifts, direct exposure to industry leaders and speakers, hands-on event experience, and the opportunity to be part of a high-level sustainability event.

    Volunteers also receive a t-shirt, badge credential, and lunch during their shift.

  • Absolutely! You will be responsible for your own travel and accommodations, but we accept volunteers from all over the world!

  • Volunteers must be 18+ by October 20, 2026. 

  • Yes. Most volunteer roles require standing for extended periods and being comfortable moving throughout the venue.

    Some positions may involve light lifting (such as moving signage or boxes of materials).

    If you have any physical limitations, please let us know in advance so we can place you in a role that works for you.

  • You’ll receive a volunteer shirt to wear during your shifts. Please wear professional, comfortable bottoms and closed-toe shoes suitable for being on your feet.

    Your volunteer badge must be worn at all times.

    Please don’t alter the volunteer shirt. The shirt should only be worn while you’re on shift.

    If you’re attending sessions or participating as an attendee, please change into non-volunteer attire.

  • No specific experience is required.

    We’re looking for reliable, professional volunteers who are comfortable engaging with attendees and helping the event run smoothly.

  • Volunteers will receive a scheduled lunch break, with lunch provided. Water and restroom breaks will be available throughout the shift as needed.
