SFF26 Is Going Digital: What’s Changing and Why

TL;DR:

SFF26 is going fully digital. On October 29–30, the Sustainable Fashion Forum will bring together voices from across sustainability, business, behavioral science, consumer research, culture, policy, and beyond for two days of professionally produced sessions, live speaker Q&As, attendee conversation, and on-demand access. Attendees will also receive the SFF26 Intelligence Report, a post-conference synthesis designed to bring the ideas and insights from SFF26 back into their work.

For months, the Sustainable Fashion Forum has been building SFF26 around one question: What does the sustainable fashion industry need right now?

In developing this year’s conference, we’ve had dozens of candid conversations with global brands, industry organizations, sustainability leaders, and communicators about the challenges they’re navigating right now.

Some of those conversations confirmed what the team already knew. Others surfaced new and unexpected insights. Taken together, they painted a pretty clear picture.

Sustainability teams are operating in an increasingly complicated environment. Regulations are changing. The reputational stakes are higher. Consumer expectations aren’t always translating into consumer behavior. Brands are trying to determine what to say, what not to say, what customers actually care about, and how sustainability can create measurable value for the business.

Those conversations became SFF26.

They shaped the questions being asked, the sessions being built, and the people SFF is bringing together. But as the conference took shape, something else became clear: the appetite for these conversations extended beyond those able to attend in person.

For many teams, travel budgets were already committed and additional approvals were becoming harder to secure as organizations were being asked to do more with less.

So SFF changed the format.

SFF26 is going fully digital. Here’s what it will look like.

On October 29–30, SFF26 will bring the conference online for two days of professionally produced sessions, live conversations, and opportunities to engage with speakers and attendees from across the industry.

Sessions will be recorded and produced in advance, then premiered throughout the conference. Speakers will join live following their sessions for Q&A, giving attendees an opportunity to go deeper into what they’ve just heard.

Attendees will also be able to participate in the live chat throughout the conference, connect with others across the industry, and watch sessions on demand if they can’t catch everything live.

Every attendee will also receive the SFF26 Intelligence Report, a post-conference synthesis of the most important insights, research, ideas, and takeaways from across SFF26. Designed to turn two days of conversation into something attendees can use, the report will serve as a resource to reference, share with teams, and bring back into their work long after the conference ends.

What Comes Next

Since its founding, SFF has worked to move the industry’s sustainability conversation forward by challenging conventional thinking, surfacing overlooked perspectives, and connecting ideas across disciplines.

SFF26 continues that work, bringing together perspectives from sustainability, business, behavioral science, consumer psychology, culture, policy, and beyond to examine the questions shaping what comes next.

This October, that conversation continues online.

Welcome to SFF26.
